Uncover the truth!

Year three is ready to start but something dangerous is going on... Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban to come, as it is believed, after Harry but it doesn't take much time Harry and his friends discover that this is not the complete story.

"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", that's how J.K. Rowlings third masterpiece is called.
I have to say that this time, different to the other two, I have a favourite scene which made me smile from ear to ear. I'm talking about the last Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Slytherin. Gryffindor won the Quidditch cup and Rowling described each character and its reaction so well that I had the feeling of beeing there myself. I could just picture beeing in the crowd cheering and watching the team receiving the cup. I thought it is also a very moving scene in a way because it doesn't only focus on the students but also on the teachers and that all together makes this scene so importanat to me.

How could it be any dirfferent. With the next book, the next movie comes along! The next movie with nearly the same cast. I said "nearly" because Richard Harris who played Dumbledore in part one and two passed away shortly before the second movie got released...

Another thrilling movie has been created with again lots of
fantastic special effects and brilliant actors and actresses:
Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter
Emma Watson as Hermione Granger
Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley
Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid
Michael Gambon as Professor Dumbledore
Gary Oldman as Sirius Black
Alan Rickman as Professor Snape
Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall
Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy
David Thewlis as Professor Lupin
Emma Thompson as Professor Trelawney
Julie Walters as Mrs Waesley

Year Two!

You propapbly remember how I raved about "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" - well, I think you do because it was just my last post - and my attitude will not change in writing about "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"!

It's the second year for Harry and his friends in Hogwarts and just as many adventures and challenges are expecting them as it did the year before.
This time Harry doesn't only have to face Lord Voldemort but he also has to fight against a monster who attacks students by looking them into the eyes and lives in the Chamber of Secrets which is known to be only a legend...

In my opinion you have to have a rare gift to be able to create such a place as Hogwarts and characters like Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, Hagrid, Malfoy and all the others. J.K. Rowling writes so beautifully that I just can't stop reading!

Of course there is another movie as well! I love to see all those superb actors and actresses together on screen, they are just so good in what they are doing that you'd never think it's just a made up story, you simply believe them.
And here they are:
Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter
Emma Watson as Hermione Granger
Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley
Kenneth Branagh as Professor Lockhart
Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid
Richard Harris as Professor Dumbledore
Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall
Alan Rickman as Professor Snape
Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy
Julie Walters as Mrs Weasley
Shirley Henderson as Moaning Myrtle

The magic begins!

Today I'll take a little excursion from the "Movie Lottery"!

There is one series of books and movies which accompanied me my whole childhood, which I loved and still do but haven't read or watched for quite a time...! The HARRY POTTER series!!

I'm sure you all remember this young boy's story, how he grows up without knowing he's a wizard.

Part one "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" deals with Harry's first year at Hogwarts. He makes friend with Ron and Hermione who are helping him to stand up against Voldemort.

J.K. Rowling, the auther, originally wrote this first book for her own children and had never believed it to be such a success. But frankly, how could it get any different attention? This book is such an easy read and exciting at the same time! And not only for children but for everyone! I could not take it out of my hands as I first read it - it did not change -.

No wonder it was made into a movie!

With the quality they made this movie - and I mean in every possible way - it turned out to be what it simply had to be, namely excellent!
For that I'm fond of actors I just have to name some of them beause they are just so brilliant:
Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter
Emma Watson as Hermione Granger
Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley
Richard Harris as Albus Dumbledore
Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall
Alan Rickman as Professor Snape
Ian Hart as Professor Quirrell
Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid
Julie Walters as Mrs Weasley

Number 46 - Nanny McPhee

"If you need me but don't want me I will stay and when you want me but don't need me I have to go."

Seven really naughty children and one hopelessly overstrained father and there is only one person who can handle this situation. Nanny McPhee!

A story for children? Maybe, but certainly not only!

Emma Thompson as Nanny McPhee, Colin Firth as Mr Brown and Thomas Sangster as Simon Brown are only a few of the brilliant cast! This wonderful sweet movie combines humour, friendship, love and romance so well that it doesn't matter which age you are, you will for sure love it as much as I do!

As much as I enjoyed being on holidays, I'm really glad I'm back home because otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell you want I'm intending to tell you!

A few days ago (10th September) one of the greatest actors in history celebrated his 52nd birthday!
HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY COLIN FIRTH!!!
In honour of this occation a group of fans made a little birthday video and uploaded it on YouTube. I personally think it's a very sweet video and maybe sometime Colin himself will see it...!!
